Prayer is important to us. Jesus prayed regularly and taught us a model for our own prayers to God. We believe that prayer is a two-way communication between God and us. We believe that God hears and answers prayer. Therefore we offer up prayers of thanksgiving and prayers of intercession and we listen for God's response.
We use the Lord's Prayer in unison to open each worship service saying: Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, forever. Amen Prayer Concerns Yellow Ribbons, at our main entry on West Market St., serve as Prayer reminders for the safe return of our Loved-Ones serving in the War Against Terrorism.
