OUR SANCTUARY
Morning worship happens at 10:45 am - noon every Sunday in the sanctuary. Our worship is characterized by the celebration of the Lord's Supper and the singing out of our praise and thanksgiving to the One True and Living God. Singing, prayer, and preaching are important elements of worship in which we can participate. But it is the Lord's Supper that has drawn Disciples together since the beginning. The celebration of the Lord's Supper was one of the issues that sparked both the movement led by Thomas and Alexander Campbell and Barton Warren Stone. Neither movement would tolerate the practice current at the time of refusing to offer the Lord's Supper to those of other communions or denominations or even members of the communion who were deemed to be unworthy to partake. At Second Christian Church we allow the Lord to issue His own invitation. All who hear and respond are welcome at His Table. We also take seriously the Scriptural injunction to make a joyful noise before the Lord. On any given Sunday we may sing as many as 6 hymns, a choral introit, an anthem, and an offertory. Come join us as we seek to be a cast of hundreds seeking to please an audience of One!

OUR CHAPEL
We are also blessed with a small chapel where vespers, prayer groups, meetings and even small weddings may be held. It doubles as a practice room for our Choir prior to services. |
